About Trish Kerlé
Trish Kerlé, M.S.Ed. is a career and leadership development coach with over two decades of professional experience serving national and local nonprofit organizations and associations, including twelve years in senior leadership positions. In addition to her coaching practice, Trish is the manager of the Civic Leadership Development program at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Bloomington.
Trish holds a master's degree in counseling from Hunter College and successfully completed the foundations program in Coaching for Personal and Professional Mastery offered through the Newfield Network. She is certified to administer and interpret the Strong Interest Inventory.
In 2007 Trish was awarded a two-year Fellowship by the Rockwood Leadership Institute, a national organization focused on building the leadership capacity of individuals committed to equity and social justice.
Most recently, Trish served as director of diversity and inclusion for ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership. She was the first staff person chosen to develop the strategy and lead the charge in support of the organization’s evolution into a strong, vibrant model of diversity and inclusion for the association community. During her tenure, Trish helped to expand its Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP), a scholarship intended to build a more diverse and inclusive leadership pool for the association profession.
Prior to ASAE & The Center, Trish worked with Applegate Consulting Group, an organization development practice, and served as program director for Center Link: The Community of LGBT Centers, where she provided technical assistance to support organization capacity, leadership skills, and movement building initiatives. Trish was deputy director of the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy (NCRP) and for most of the 1990s was director of cultural programs for the LGBT Community Center in New York City, where she produced over 350 cultural, educational, and community outreach events. She began her professional career after graduate school with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of New York, ending her six-year tenure with BB/BS as director of community education services where she designed and facilitated training to assist other social service organizations with developing mentor programs.
Trish Kerlé is a member of the International Coach Federation, the Alliance for Nonprofit Management, and the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA). Her first love is acting, which she has been doing since she was a teenager, and she holds an undergraduate degree in theater arts.
